I get such reactions from those who find out my 17month old Rooster still gets milk in the morning and before bed. It’s normal to have two to three milk feeds at this age but what is abnormal is the fact that Rooster gets his milk from the source and not the bottle.
I really struggled at first to breastfeed. I was supplementing with formula from a cup at first so that Rooster wouldn’t get used to...

For those of you who have read a few of my other posts, you would know that the husband works in hospitals and gets to see, smell and stitch some really interesting things. I am privy to this information being the wife and thereby an information leech. Yesterday, we were out in the garden where our firstborn (the dog) had obviously thought it was war time again and landed a landmine that I had to defuse before...

I’m not a tree hugger, a granola chick or one who is one with nature. I do however love being outdoors, I pick up litter even if it’s not mine and cry if the lion attacks one of the little guys no matter how many times my husband says, “but it’s nature”. Sometimes I don’t like nature. Let me explain with a few examples that I have been exposed to over the last little while.
Starting...

These are some activities which I have enjoyed with my little Rooster and his friends in the Helderberg Area and will hopefully update regularly as Rooster and I go on adventures.
The Helderberg Farm
This lovely picnic, petting zoo is just outside of Somerset West on the R44 going towards Stellenbosch (directions to Helderberg Farm). There is lovely green grass to sit and picnic or if you don’t want...
